Translation Authentication with Global Affairs Canada

We can prepare the certified or notarized translation required for an authentication, legalization or apostille process. The authentication, legalization or apostille itself is completed by the relevant government, embassy, consulate or other external authority and is not provided by our agency. Confirm the destination authority's requirements before ordering the translation.

Authentication is the process when a notary’s signature gets approval by Federal authorities. Authenticated documents are only required by other countries and not needed for use in Canada. Authentication proves that the signature of an official (notary) on a certified document is genuine. Other jurisdictions or countries will recognize your authenticated document as a valid copy. A red Global Affairs Canada stamp will be put on your document.

Authentication is also called legalization or apostille.
